" (Dwnn, Heraldic Visitations of Wales, vol. 1 p. 331 fn. 2)
(Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 128 calls him Gruffudd ap Hywel ap Gruffudd ap Ednyfed "Fychan", thus inserting two generations between Gruffudd and Ednyfed. It gives the mother of the first Gruffudd as Gwenllian ferch Thomas ap Tegwared, then states the mother of Gruffudd ap Hywel was Tangwystl ferch Dafydd "Gôch". It then gives the mother of Hywel ap Gruffudd as Efa ferch Einion ap Gwalchmai. It thus has scrambled generations and spouses.
(Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 101 gives him as sons Hywel "y Fwyall" ap Gruffudd and a Rhys "y Pedolau". The Hywel belongs in a different family and the Rhys should by Hywel "y Pedolau" who also belongs in a different family.
