    • KINSHIP: Second son of Owain "Gwynedd" second wife.

      PUNISHMENT: He was imprisoned by his brother, the usurper Dafydd, "because he desired his portion of the inheritance". Breaking his brother's prison, he entered the Isle of Anglesey as sovereign lord.

      REMARKS: The term King can be misleading. In Wales till the middle of the 12th century individuals were styled 'Brenin' meaning chief or high one, and 'Arglwydd' meaning lord or master.
    • (Research):KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 69 makes him the son of Gwladus ferch Llywarch.
