    • PROPERTY: His castle was called Castell Arnallt, situated in the parish of Llangattwg-nigh-Usk. (Bradney, History of Monmouthshire, vol. 1 p. 146)
      PROPERTY: He took the castle of Abergavenny {Y Fenni} in 1172 and retained possesion of it till 1176, when, through the intercession of Rhys ap Gruffudd, whose sister he had married, it was restored to William de Braose. (Bradney, History of Monmouthshire, vol. 1 p. 146)

      DEATH: William de Braose invited Seisyll ap Dyfnal to Abergavenny castle on Christmas day, 1177. Seisyll and his retainers were attacked by de Braose's men while they were feasting, unarmed, and were all murdered. William de Braose then marched to Castell Arnallt, razed it to the ground, slew Cadwaladr ap Seisyll, before his mother's eyes and took her prisoner to Abergavenny.
