      REMARKS: "The yeare 1235 Howel de Edneuet a Fryer, became Bishoppe of Saint Asaph. In the yeare 1239, hee gave to the nunnes of Llanligan in Powys land, the tythe of the Rectory of Llanuayre in Caereinion; hee impropried also Langollen vnto the Abbey of Valley Crucis anno 1236, and the Rectory of Llanasaph, unto the fabrike of the Catherall Church, anno 1247, hee died at Oxford and was there buried.
