(Research):IDENTITY: Conflict/Error> Maclean's 'The Visitation of the County of Gloucester taken in the Year 1623' page 114 states "Sr John Elyder Knt. [Elyer Den militis1; Sr Elidr ddy kt - Har. 1041, fo. 56b]".
SURNAME: Investigate> Evan's 'British Genealogist' book 1 pages 6 and 220 state he was the first to assumed the surname of FitzUrien.
KINSHIP: Investigate> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 52 gives him two daughters named Mawd and Elen, but which ones they are is unknown.
KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Evan's 'British Genealogist' book 1 page 6 gives him a daughter named Jonet who was married to William ap Owain.
KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Evan's 'British Genealogist' book 1 page 6 gives him a son named Rhydderch.
