- (Research):REMARKS: Investigate> "further research suggests that this John Laundr[e]y (not to be confused with John de Londres) had a sister, Nest, whence the Voels of Trewern. Another possible brother, David Laundrey is mentioned as "tunc ballivo de Manergeyn" (translation, - 'then bailiff of Maenor Gain') in a 1332 document referred to in the Bullletin of the Board of Celtic Studies (1971), and pops up again in the IPM of Hugh Despencer [23 Edw III (No. 428, pp328-342)]. REMARKS: The only other reference I have to this family is to an Amabilla Londrey or Loundre, whose son, John, from his IPM, appears to be the brother of the above Philip, as follows: '75. Rydecors. . . a. land held of the king in chief, rendering 20s. yearly'. Laundry Ishulle. 10a. land held of the king in chief, rendering Id. yearly.
