    • (Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 1 page 26 calls him Morus ap Syr Richard ap Morus "Chwith" ap Ieuan ap Gruffudd ap Ieuan ap Llywelyn "Fychan" ap Llywelyn "Goch" ap Llywelyn "Gaplan".
(Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 56 makes him the son of his grandfather Gwaeddan, thus omitting the generation of Elidir.
(Research) IDENTITY-KINSHIP-MARRIAGE: Conflict/Error> 'British Genealogist' book 1 page 92 and book 6 page F58 states that he is commonly called "Morris de Novo Castro or New Castle" and gives his wife as a daughter of John Wiltshire, Captain of Dynevor Castle. According to Bartrum's 'Welsh Genealogies 1400-1500' he as been misidentified with Morus Castell in Carms 17, 20. Book 6 page F58 also gives him additional sons: Gwallter, Thomas, John and Wilcock, but these are the sons of Morus "Castell".
(Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Thomas' 'Golden Grove MS' book 3 page B311 incorrectly states "called allso Moris Castle or Moris de Novo Castro of Llanelhy" and gives his wife as a daughter of John Wiltshire, Captain of Dynevor Castle. It a also gives him additional sons: Gwallter, Thomas, John and Wilcock, but these are the sons of Morus "Castell". According to Bartrum's 'Welsh Genealogies 1400-1500' he as been misidentified with Morus Castell in Carms 17, 20 which is the 'Golden Grove MS'.
