The affiliation to the tribe of Edwin is chronologically deficient and probably fictitious. 'British Genealogist' book 2 pages B7 and B78 give the pedigree as Llywelyn "Gaplan" ap Llywelyn ap Cadwgon ap Ieuan or Iorwerth ap Uchtryd ap Edwin.
