REMARKS: "Although no date is inserted, it was probably 1112, when he collected all the Flemings and other foreigners in England, and settled them in the country between Tenby and Haverdfordwest. . . . for Syr Stephen Perott the first Norman settler in Pembrokeshire married Elen daughter of Meirchion ap Rhys ap Rhydderch ap Iestyn ap Gwrgan ap Howel Dda." (Dwnn, Heraldic Visitations of Wales, vol. 1 p. 89 fn. 1)
- (Research):KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Evan's 'British Genealogist' book 1 page 4 gives him a daughter named Elinor who supposedly married Einion "Fawr" ap Gwilym, but she is not found else where.
KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 1 page 89 shows an italicized statement after an entry about him, "Ai Alis gwraig Syr Mathe Wgan of Wyston kt.". This was an Alice Malephant who married Mathew Wogan, and is totally unrelated to Stephen Perrot.
