- Was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War. According to a family tradition, Elizabeth left a barrel of fresh beer at her door during the Revolution in the summer for passing soldiers. His son, John Jr., born 1757, was a trooper in the Revolutionary War and served in the War of 1812. The line of John Jr. has been updated by Mr. Robert R. Blend. John died in Killingly, Connecticut, in 1780 and Elizabeth died in 1816 at age 94.
