  Paid King John in order to get back the lands in Ireland that he was supposed to have inherited from his father. He took part in the rebellion of the barons against King John, for which his lands were then seized. Upon his submission to King Henry III, his lands were restored to him during the first years of Henry's reign. He appears to have enjoyed the king's favor afterward.
