| Notes |
- John came to America, probably from London in 1635, aboard the Planter, or he may have arrived in 1638, according to History of Sudbury, Massachusetts 1638-1889, by Alfred Sereno Hudson, published by the Town of Sudbury in 1889.
In 1642, John purchased the home and lot of Edmund Rice, and in 1645, he bought the property of John Stone of Sudbury, according to the Sudbury, Massachusetts Town Records, Vol. 1, page 54.
The Moore family have long been numerous in Sudbury, members of it living on both sides of the river, and at times taking prominent part in the affairs of the town. Ephraim Moore, who lived in the west part, was Major of the Second Battalion of Rifles, M.V.M.
John's will was dated 25 August 1668 and was proved 7 April 1674.
